C4C Sports Weekend
The Annual C4C Sports Weekend is arguably the most popular event in the MBA program. Over the course of one weekend each April, both Full-time and Evening students team up in a friendly competition against 8 top-tier MBA programs in California to raise funds for charity and play each other in numerous sporting events. Held on the beautiful Stanford campus, Foster competes against Stanford, USC, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UCLA, USF and Pepperdine for the coveted Golden Briefcase. Team sports include volleyball, tug-of-war, dodgeball, ping-pong, basketball, ultimate frisbee and soccer to name just a few.
Many students point to it as the most memorable weekend of the year, as some of the strongest bonds you’ll make with your classmates arise from this event! For more information, check out the C4C Weekend website.
How to Secure a Spot
To qualify, students must earn at least 250 points, which can be generated from money fundraised or donated, as well as donated auction items. Each dollar raised, donated or donated item’s value equals 1 point:
- $1 donated = 1 point
- $1 fundraised or Matched = 1 point
These points must be achieved and logged no later than one week prior to C4C Weekend. In addition to achieving your points, C4C tickets must be purchased and they sell out quickly, so keep an eye out for info on ticket sales closer to the event! Spots are limited each year so contact your VP of Community Outreach, Emily Garrett (firstname.lastname@example.org) for information on how to track your points and ensure a spot on the team!
